Two of the most profound questions that was asked by Jesus to His disciples almost two thousand years ago was: "Who do men say the Son of man is? and who do you say that I am? (Matthew 16:13-16).
These two questions asked all those years ago are still relevant to us in 2017.  There are many different views of who Jesus is from different denominations in the Christian world. The only Trust worthy source that we can go to is the Bible itself. One thing is for certain, Just as Peter confessed that Jesus was the Christ, the Son of the living God, Peter was Blessed by Jesus because it was revealed to him by His Father and not by any human being.  The same goes for us. The Holy Spirit reveals Christ to us and not any Church, organisation or charismatic preacher.

As God He has names like the Word who was with God and was God (John 1:1).
Mighty God, everlasting Father, the Prince of Peace, Wonderful Councellor (Isaiah 9:6) see also ( Isaiah 28:29- NIV) which also is called Almighty God, magnificent in wisdom.

Jesus is God's equal: when Philip said to Jesus, "show us the Father?" Jesus said to Him: " He that has seen me has seen the Father." (John 14:7-9). See also Philippians 2:6.

Jesus is our only Mediator between the Father and us.

One Mediator between God and man.

Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.
-John 14:6 (NIV84)

For there is one God and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus,
-1 Timothy 2:5 (NIV84)
