Mark 4:26 He also said, "This is what the kingdom of God is like. A man scatters seed on the ground.
27 Night and day, whether he sleeps or gets up, the seed sprouts and grows, though he does not know how.
28 All by itself the soil produces grain--first the stalk, then the head, then the full kernel in the head.

Singles 20010 Paddle Steamer Weekend & Cruise, Coonawarra

Mildura Weekend

On Friday 16th of March, singles from as far as Queensland, New South Wales, Victoria and South Australia converged on Mildura for a weekend on the Murray Paddle boat, the Coonawarra, owned by Andrew and “Bubbles” Wilson . What a great week end it was which was organized by Judy Savage from Victoria. After the registration, Friday there was a meal prepared for us by the Staff of the Coonawarra. Afterwards we had opening of Sabbath with a sing along by the musicians from South Australia: John Pannell, Marlene Hilton, and Gary Mordaunt. On Sabbath morning after breakfast, we all went to the Mildura Church for Sabbath School. John, Marlene, and Gary played a special item. The Church Service was taken by Trafford Fisher. After the service we were all invited to a potluck lunch. It was good to fellowship with the locals. Everyone enjoyed the visit of the Singles and their contribution to Sabbath school and Church.

At three o’clock Sabbath afternoon we all went for a cruise down the Murray on the Coonawarra. On the way, an invite to anyone of us who would like to steer the boat could do so. A few of us took up the offer and had a great time at the helm. When we landed at our destination after a walk, a bus took us to one of local church member’s home to have a Country and Western night with food, singing, dancing (Hokey Pokey) and games. Everyone had a ball. It all goes too quickly when having good fellowship and fun. Sunday morning we left for the Mildura Gem Factory to view and also purchase any item that took our fancy. Some of us stayed and had lunch there. We all said our goodbyes and came back home again. We Singles would like to thank Andrew and Bubbles for a great weekend on their paddle boat.
